1. Delete in the app
You can delete your Kitchen Studio account and all of your data from inside the app at any time. Deletion happens right away and can't be undone.
- Open Kitchen Studio and sign in.
- On the home screen, tap your profile photo at the top right to open Profile.
- Tap Delete account at the very bottom of the page.
- Tick "I understand that all my data will be permanently deleted" and confirm with Delete account.
2. If you can't use the app
If you've removed the app or can't sign in, you can request deletion by email:
- Send an email with the subject "Delete my account" to info@getkitchenstudio.com.
- Send it from the email address on your account so we can confirm the account is yours. If you used "Hide My Email" with Sign in with Apple, mention it; we may ask for more details to verify you.
- Once your request is verified, your account is deleted within 30 days at the latest and we let you know by email.
3. What is deleted
- Your account and profile: name, email address, profile photo, dietary and notification preferences
- Your grocery lists, kitchen items, budget and expense records
- Your recipes (including published ones) and recipe photos
- Receipt photos and voice list recordings you uploaded
- Your likes, ratings, saved and cooked recipes
- Your notifications, AI Chef history and personal recommendation data
- Your family group membership and email preferences
4. What is kept, and for how long
- A family group you created: If it has other members, it passes to the longest-standing active member; otherwise the group is deleted too.
- Items you added to other people's lists: They stay on those lists for their owners; the information that you added them is removed.
- Backups: Deleted data is removed from system backups within 90 days at the latest.
- Purchase records: Payments are made through the App Store or Google Play. These stores and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) keep purchase records under their own policies for legal obligations such as tax.
- Legal obligations: Records we must keep for a legal process are kept only as long as required.
5. Your subscription
Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. To avoid being charged again, cancel it in the store before you delete your account:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Kitchen Studio → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store → your profile photo → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kitchen Studio → Cancel subscription
6. Deleting only some data
You can delete specific data without deleting your account: remove recipes, grocery lists, kitchen items and expenses one by one in the app, and remove your profile photo on the Profile page. To have any other data deleted, write to info@getkitchenstudio.com.
